Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass throws fit over United crew member who didn't clean up his kids' mess

Flying with young kids can often be … well, let’s just say it’s not the easiest possible flight experience. Dirty looks from fellow passengers aren’t fun, and it’s no picnic for the parents, either. That said, though, if you’re gonna fly with your kids, you’re making a conscious decision to do so, and you need to be prepared to accept full responsibility for your kids’ behavior.

Toronto Bluejays pitcher Anthony Bass’ pregnant wife recently flew on United with their 5- and 2-year-old kids. During the course of the flight, their two-year-old daughter apparently got pretty messy with the popcorn. And that’s when the flight experienced took a nosedive. No, not because the kid made a mess on a commercial airline flight, but because the flight attendant expected Bass’ wife to clean up. Bass seems to be under the impression that it was the flight attendant’s job to clean up after his kids:

We figured we’d go ahead and screenshot that tweet, juuuuuuuuust in case Bass ever realizes what a terrible idea it was to put it out into the universe.

If we were the flight attendant in question, we’d be asking Anthony Bass if he’s kidding us. Because he cannot be serious with that tweet.

“The cleaning crew they hire.” Stop digging, Anthony. FFS.

And for the love of God, United, don’t indulge him:

There’s literally nothing to “look into,” United. Except maybe a pat on the back for the flight attendant:

Amen.

Or here’s a thought: have your kids clean up after themselves!

This would’ve been a great opportunity for his kids to learn an important lesson about responsibility and courtesy. But it’s not clear that either Anthony or his wife know what those things are, either. So what hope to the kids have?
