He pretends to be this unattached free-thinker of the people who has no ties to either political party and to many people, that sounds appealing. He's lying. He's a radical Democrat.

Yes, he'll have the chance for committees because he knows he will caucus with Democrats.
He “begs to differ” because the guy who is funding his entire campaign Chuck Schumer has made clear he’ll sit on committees and probably be to the left of most of the Democrats.
