Despite the narrative pushed by Ben Rhodes and pals, reality has demonstrated that the Iran Deal was, in fact, hot garbage.
Donald Trump was right to withdraw the U.S. from the Iran Deal, as well as from the Paris Climate Accord. And Joe Biden wants to get us right back in.
With Biden’s inauguration only weeks away, GOP Sen. Ted Cruz is attempting to throw a wrench in Biden’s plans:
Last night I urged POTUS to submit the Iran Deal & Paris Agreement to the Senate as treaties. By submitting these disastrous deals to the Senate, we can provide advice & consent if a future administration attempts to revive them.

Ahead of Biden taking office, Cruz is calling on Trump & Pompeo to submit the Iran Deal (which Biden has said he’d seek to revive) & the Paris Climate Agreement (which Biden has vowed to rejoin ASAP) to the Senate to be treated as treaties & voted on as such if Biden pursues them pic.twitter.com/tfgo2a8tvb

Great idea, should have been done already though

That’s the thing: why did it take so long to propose something like this?
This is a good idea. It would have been a better idea 3 years and 11 months ago. https://t.co/oVTEWe75rQ

This should've been the plan from Day 1. International agreements should be ratified by the Senate as the Constitution requires, not joined or abrogated on a whim by the executive. https://t.co/b0SEWN4RxF

Should have been done 4 years ago. https://t.co/NCiCP5nvgP

That should have been done four years ago.
I'm not saying he shouldn't do it now but it doesn't look like the principled move it would have when he first took office. Now it just looks like expedient politics ? https://t.co/uo8PJShOQg

How about being ahead of the curve for a change?
They are always playing from behind ?
