'Protecting ... Somalia?' Twitter's apparently cracking down on gay conservatives who point out that Islamic fundamentalists persecute gays

Twitter’s so committed to making their platform a safe space for everyone that they’re trying to save us from things that aren’t even a threat to anyone’s safety. @AmericanHomocon has been found guilty of the crime of pointing out that Somalian Islamic fundamentalists actually have a pretty terrible record when it comes to gay rights (among pretty much everything else).

HuffPost reporter Jenna Amatulli couldn’t believe that Tucker Carlson’s guest Brooke Goldstein would have the gall to suggest that anti-Semitic Rep. Ilhan Omar has a lot in common with the KKK:

@AmericanHomocon couldn’t help but find it interesting that while Amatulli was outraged over someone telling the truth about Ilhan Omar, she didn’t seem to have anything to say about the belief system Omar subscribes to. Evidently Twitter didn’t find it nearly as interesting:

We know “hateful conduct” is a pretty vague term, but we fail to see how that tweet promoted violence against, threatened, or harassed anyone on the basis or race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.

That tweet isn’t promoting “hateful conduct”; it’s exposing it.

It makes sense when you remember that this is Twitter we’re dealing with. Intellectual consistency is not their strong suit.

Update:

How long do you think Twitter will let this tweet stay up before punishing Hillel Neuer for “hateful conduct”?
