In case there was any remaining doubt that the New Yorker’s Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow had it in for Brett Kavanaugh, Byron York will put that doubt to rest:
New Yorker's Jane Mayer says, yes, she and Ronan Farrow jumped on Deborah Ramirez story in effort to show a pattern in Brett Kavanaugh sexual misconduct allegations. This: https://t.co/zolB5ukIEz And then this: https://t.co/mxfUzwhjaw pic.twitter.com/P0XAAdhiH5

So pushing the sketchy-as-all-hell Deborah Ramirez accusation was worth it because they needed it to establish a pattern that wasn’t there. Got it.
"if true"

"If true"…..geesh…if that's the standard, I guess they can let it all fly
— M.T. Pockets (@Hammer_To_You) October 8, 2018
"if true". That's disgusting.
— S R (@srob2247) October 8, 2018
"Her allegation showed that, if true, yes, there was a pattern of misconduct."
The problem is there was no evidence or corroborating witnesses. They were trying to show a pattern based solely on allegations, not on anything Kavanaugh had actually done.

That's not journalism, it's wishful thinking.
— Madlaw (@madlaw1071) October 8, 2018
In other words Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer helped perpetuate the Ramirez lie by using their power as a journalist, to quickly spread an unsubstantiated and weak story to “strengthen” other unsubstantiated and weak stories… Got it

So they're hacks.
— JJ (@jjbarnhart) October 8, 2018
“Fake but accurate” all over again.
— FrightGirlProblems (@WriteGrlProbs) October 8, 2018
So yes…. a complete rushed hit job with no real significance other than destroying Ronan’s credibility…. https://t.co/yC8MeVR6oZ
— Mujahed (@kebejay) October 8, 2018
All of Ronan Farrow’s important work with #MeToo … down the toilet. And for what? For nothing at all.
Thus their credibility as journalists evaporated into thin air, never to be seen again.

And instead show a pattern of bad journalism. https://t.co/UbTmZzVRXr
— Sean Agnew (@seanagnew) October 8, 2018
This was political activism…not journalism.
The story should only be relevant on its own merits. https://t.co/j8iZyj9oTb

An outlandish and unethical abuse of the media's power. And she admits it!
