If anyone at CNN is still clutching that “most trusted name in news” mug, Friday’s ratings chart just quietly took it, washed it, and put it in the donation bin.
The Sept. 25 cable rankings using preliminary Nielsen numbers were less a competition than a Fox News family reunion with a few uninvited guests lingering by the dip.
Fox didn’t just win the night. Fox ate the night.
MS NOW’s Deadline: White House finally crashed the party at No. 10. After that, it was more Fox, more MS NOW, and then… well.
Then there was CNN, arriving fashionably late and looking for a seat that no longer existed.

The Situation Room didn’t appear until No. 37, with 594,000 viewers. There were reruns of The Five that beat it!
That rerun, for anyone keeping score at home, pulled 572,000. So yes: leftovers beat the “breaking news” network.
This is the same network that spent years scolding the country about “disinformation” while viewers quietly changed the channel and never came back.
Ratings aren’t a vibe. They’re receipts. And Friday’s receipts say people would rather watch Gutfeld roast the news than watch CNN manufacture it. Ouch, indeed. Somebody send an ice pack to the green room.
Make it two. They’re going to need them.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer, more deserving network.
