While President Trump and survivors of last week’s school shooting in Parkland, Fla., were having a civil conversation at the White House about gun violence, MSNBC’s Joy Reid was offering up a sarcastic idea of what it would take to satisfy the gun lobby in America.
Maybe we should just turn our entire country into a live battlefield, with every citizen prepared to kill and die at all times. Perhaps we’ll have actual warlords who control swaths of territory with mini arsenals like a Mad Max movie. Maybe then the gun lobby will be satisfied.
