CAT-Egorically Insane: NYC Shelter's Adoption Policy Is So Unhinged, Even PETA Is Calling It Out

When you've gone too far for PETA, that's usually a pretty good sign that you need to check yourself into a mental institution. 

The animal rights organization is best known on X for posting backfiring memes designed to get people to stop eating meat (those are always unintentionally hilarious), but even they know true monsters when they see them, such as when PETA railed against Tony Fauci for torturing beagle puppies. (If only they would do the same to Abdul El-Sayed for his horrific tenure overseeing Detroit's Animal Control organization.)

Now, a kitten rescue shelter in New York City has gone so far off the rocker with its broken politics that even PETA is appalled. 

According to Fox News and The New York Post, the shelter in question is Itty Bitty City Kitties, and they seem far more concerned about broadcasting their TDS than they do about saving cats and putting them into good homes. 

Animal lovers’ claws came out Wednesday after Itty Bitty City Kitties — a Rockaway Beach-based nonprofit specializing in orphaned kitten adoption —  posted a lefty list of requirements needed to take home one of their adorable furballs.

“MAGA? Nope.Conservative? Nope,” it wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. ‘I’m not political?’ Nice loophole. Still nope.”

An accompanying image of a wide-eyed kitten declared, “NO. F–-ING. MAGA.”

As always with leftist cults, being neutral is not enough. You must be a full-throated acolyte of their religion of hate. 

But even though they are lefties themselves, PETA is demanding that the shelter abandon its unjustifiable and insane policy. 

“Homeless animals don’t care which side of abortion you are on or whether you believe in global warming or support Palestine or Israel or if you don’t vote at all, ever. They care if you love them and will give them a good home,” PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk told Fox News Digital. “We hope this policy, which is humancentric, is reconsidered and abolished.”

It gets MUCH worse than the one Facebook post cited by NYP above. 

Itty Bitty City Kitties has also posted images of kittens with captions such as "FREE PALESTINE" (in all caps, of course), "This kitten account hates ICE," and, most abhorrently, "Kittens. Don't. Mourn. Nazis.", posted on the anniversary of Charlie Kirk's assassination. 

The kittens need to be rescued, alright. Rescued from the deranged lunatics at the shelter. 

The director of Itty Bitty City Kitties, Samantha Knox, tried to defend her policy by stating that refusing to allow MAGA supporters to adopt is their way of ensuring the kittens go to "compassionate homes." 

Who wants to take bets about whether Knox is a Lindsay Clancy supporter? 

They have no business being outside of a padded room. 

The left's obsession with painting Kirk as a Nazi has been a huge faceplant, reflecting not at all on him, but saying everything about them.

We get the feeling that saving the kittens is the last item on their list of priorities. 

Every. Single. Time. 

We didn't even need to see the pictures to know what she looks like and who she pals around with. 

And Lois Lerner isn't in charge anymore. 

We were a little shocked about that as well. 

But PETA is right, and that just goes to show how extreme Democrats in America have become.

The words "might be" are entirely unnecessary. 

Of course, MAGA being MAGA, the clapbacks have been entirely predictable. 

And this case, utterly adorable. 

Dogs and cats can learn to live together, but we're not sure there is any co-existing or sharing a country with leftists who have gone completely 'round the bend. 

HA! 

Modern problems require modern solutions. 

But we just want to see the kittens rescued. Somehow, we don't think they will care much about their adoptive owner's stance on Macklemore. 

We're also pretty sure that cats love pork. 

You know, being carnivores and all. 

Just sayin'. 

Ultimately, though, all these kittens want is a good home.

What a pity that Itty Bitty City Kitties can't be as smart and reasonable as your average cat.
