Danbury, Connecticut City Council Votes to Allow Noncitizens to Be Hired As Police Officers

Last summer, we reported that ICE had detained a Jamaican illegal alien who had been employed as a police officer in Maine. ICE arrested Jon Luke Evans after he illegally attempted to buy a gun as part of his job, which triggered an alert with the ATF. Governor JB Pritzker had signed an Illinois law allowing non-citizens to become armed police officers. Then-Border Commander Greg Bovino was furious: "It's unbelievable that the state of Illinois and Gov. JB Pritzker would hand an illegal alien a weapon!" That's a felony.
