As this editor recently reported, Judge Indira Talwani on Thursday lifted her Wednesday injunction blocking President Donald's executive order on mail-in ballots, one day after she had defied the Supreme Court's ruling on Monday that the executive order was constitutional. The EO, "Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections," signed on March 31, requires DHS to reference federal databases to create state-by-state lists of verified citizens eligible to vote and instructs the Postal Service to adopt ballot-tracking mechanisms and identifiers for mail-in ballot envelopes.
As we reported on Tuesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said that his state would be suing again, and on Thursday, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro indicated that he'd be suing the Trump administration to stop its "unconstitutional attempt" to restrict mail-in voting … to those eligible.
BREAKING: I’m suing the Trump Administration to stop their unconstitutional attempt to change the rules and restrict mail-in voting. I’ll remind the President of my track record going up against him in court — and winning — to protect Pennsylvania’s free, fair, safe, and secure…

… elections. I’m prepared to do so again.
Nothing about voting by mail has changed here in Pennsylvania. You can still vote safely and securely by mail.
While Donald Trump may try to inject chaos into our elections, the Constitution is clear: the authority to set election rules belongs to the states — not the federal government.
You can still vote safely and securely by mail; more securely, in fact, under Trump's EO, which would have the Postal Service put unique serialized barcodes on both the outgoing and return envelopes.
The Trump administration is not restricting mail-voting.

It’s just adding a tracking mechanism to prevent duplicate ballots.

in other words, you want to cheat, just like you tried to in the aftermath of the 2024 election when you kept counting Democratic ballots in 4 counties including Bucks County. Judges had to get you to stop. If you had any ethics, you would have stopped the illegal counting.

As a resident of Pennsylvania, I think you're a disgrace.

It amazes me how hard Democrats are fighting against secure elections.
If you're not abusing the system, the new rules will not effect Pennsylvanians, other than to protect their votes.

So you're crying because you want it to be easier to cheat?

Stop lying. The states provide the addresses to the post office. The post office puts a barcode on the mail to ensure the mail-in-ballot is received. Pennsylvania still processes and counts their ballots.

The Supreme Court said it was constitutional.
How exactly has the new rule restricted mail in ballots?
— Mouse That Roared (@MiceThatRoar16) August 26, 2026
The postal service is a federal organization under the purview of the federal government. You have no say. You want mail-in ballots for federal elections? Then you get to be under the control of the federal government. You'll be wasting taxpayer money on frivolous lawsuits.
— RealJeremy (@RealJeremy03) August 26, 2026
What a performative dildo you are. Honestly, what is your rationale for not cleaning up voter rolls? You don’t have one except for sensationalism.
— OxOxnard (@OxOxnard) August 26, 2026
You're not covering the basics of it. Voting by mail is unchanged with the SC ruling either. Only restricting to actual legal voters.
— Jaque (@JaqueReecher) August 26, 2026
You know, the part you can't live with.
Shut up. I'm not a Trumper, but I agree 100% that mail in ballots are way out of control. When I lived in Nevada, I got over 10 of them in the mail. If that's not fraud, then nothing is.
— John George (@_Johnnybravo_65) August 26, 2026
I see you're still spending taxpayer money to protect your illegal votes.
— Kohltrain 🇺🇸 (@kohljm) August 26, 2026
Have you considered devoting time to actual Americans?
It's just verification. It's not unconstitutional or restrictive
— CaliCraftsman 🇺🇸🦅🔨🪚🧊☢️ (@CaliCraftsmanUS) August 26, 2026
The SCOTUS already struck down attempts by you blue state hacks who want illegals to vote in our elections
You want to use USPS to handle ballots then you gotta play by their rules
The EO would prohibit the Postal Service from delivering mail-in ballots to people who aren't verified to be eligible.
Why are you afraid to have citizens of the US linked to mail in ballots? That’s all they’re doing. Ensuring LEGAL citizens are voting via mail.

Full panic mode. Love it.
— Sooche (@sucharski_eric) August 26, 2026
We're sure there are other blue-state governors who will sue. They're trying to prolong this until the first mail-in ballots go out without the new tracking system implemented. If they can just delay it until after the midterms.
