After SCOTUS Ruling on Mail-In Voting, Gov. Gavin Newsom Says CA Will Sue Again

As our own Doug Powers reported on Monday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom was among Democrats having a fit over a Supreme Court decision that opened a path to implementing President Donald Trump’s executive order restricting mail-in voting. The Associated Press reported that "the Supreme Court’s conservative majority didn’t decide the legality of Trump’s order, instead ruling that states who sued did not have the legal right to challenge it."

California is one of those states that sued to challenge Trump's executive order, and Newsom said that following the Supreme Court's ruling, California would sue again.

Trump signed Executive Order 14399, “Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections,” on March 31, 2026, outlining measures to strengthen election integrity.

First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said the Justice Department would soon announce criminal arrests related to election fraud. Please let that be true.

"… election fraud investigation."

Many California citizens aren't thrilled by the idea of their tax money funding another of Newsom's loser lawsuits.

Editor’s Note: Republicans are fighting for election integrity by requiring proper identification to vote. It's common sense, yet Democrats are spreading lies about the impact of such a measure.
