Abdul El-Sayed is drawing fresh scrutiny after a video from one of his 2025 campaign stops resurfaced online, capturing the Islamist, socialist hopeful blaming America for creating terrorism.

We can't even make this sort of tone-deafness up.

In the clip, El-Sayed argues that U.S. actions abroad generate the kind of pain, frustration, and sense of powerlessness that can drive people toward extreme and violent political acts, while also criticizing America for establishing a rules-based international order only to violate it itself.

Remember when he blamed Israel for the attack on Temple Israel (with the preschool) on Israel by saying, "Hurt people, hurt people"?

Abdul El-Sayed, the left-wing candidate running in the hotly contested Michigan Democratic Senate primary, suggested at a July 2025 campaign event that terrorists commit "heinous act[s]" because they feel "pain and frustration and a level of lack of agency" due to "hypocritical" U.S. actions that are "creating pain," video footage exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon shows.
