Fredo's Delusions of Grandeur: Chris Cuomo Claims He Would Be HUGE If He Just Picked a Side

Former CNN host Chris Cuomo has had some embarrassingly dumb moments in his career, particularly during the COVID years

There's a reason his nickname is 'Fredo,' after all.

Remember when he yukked it up with his brother Andrew using a giant Q-Tip, while the New York Governor was sentencing senior care residents to death? Janice Dean remembers

In recent years, Cuomo has tried to rebrand himself as sort of a Bill Maher type: Still liberal, but willing, on rare occasions, to call out some of the insanity he sees on the Left. It's not really going all that well for him, as few people watch his broadcasts. We all remember and understand who he really is.

According to Cuomo, however, the only reason he is not a giant media star is that he doesn't pick a side and he is 'annoyingly reasonable.'

No, Fredo. Just annoying.

Watch — and be sure to stay tuned to his last sentence at the end of the clip:

Did you catch that?

'I very rarely say things that I absolutely disagree with.'

That right there is why Cuomo is not a star, not because he occasionally will call out the Left.

Also because he lies, since he clearly was 'moonstruck,' to use his words, about Tony Fauci.

Seeing as how Cuomo often broke the same COVID rules he admonished the public about, it's not difficult to find those things.

Hearing Cuomo say that he doesn't pick a side is almost as funny as that infamous tweet from Chris Cillizza:

It's been 10 years since Cillizza made that statement, and it's still an unintentionally hilarious indictment of the legacy media.

Haha!

We loved that bit, too. Cuomo did the meme:

We're just grateful he didn't start into his rendition of a Limp Bizkit song.

On SO many levels!

Cuomo HATES it when people call him Fredo.

Which, of course, is why we will never stop.

There are many differences between Maher and Cuomo, but one of the most relevant is that Maher will not deny, and never has denied, that he is on one side. That is why his rants against the Left strike people as more authentic.

Cuomo, by contrast, does not have an authentic bone in his body.

The crazy thing is that he is also correct. Not about himself, but in general, media 'influencers' can gain a large following if they go all in on one side or the other.

At least for a little while, until people inevitably discover that, like Cuomo, they might not actually believe some or most of the things they are saying.

Then they try to switch to the other side, which never goes well (just ask Bill Kristol or David French).

This writer has credited Cuomo in the past when he has had sane opinions, such as when he apologized to the President after the second assassination attempt on Trump's life

If those statements were a habit with Cuomo, he might have some credibility. But he always reverts right back to the left while claiming to be 'annoyingly reasonable.'

No one is buying what he's selling — especially in his backwards baseball cap at 56 years old.
