Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger just got a formal slap from the very firefighters who helped put her in the governor’s mansion.
Delicious, yes?
The International Association of Fire Fighters unanimously censured the Democrat after she vetoed legislation expanding collective bargaining rights for public-sector workers — bills she had repeatedly promised to sign during her campaign. Union leaders say the move was a clear betrayal of those commitments, and they’re now putting her on notice that future support is off the table until she makes good on what she pledged.

With a plethora of photo ops along the way. Yup.
The governor's office did send a statement:

... forced legislation through the U.S. House and U.S. Senate to end the more than 40-year practice of the federal government denying firefighters their earned Social Security benefits, and she led efforts to recognize additional service-connected illnesses to protect firefighters’ access to care. Now as Governor, she pushed through a budget amendment that secures millions of dollars to provide cancer screenings for career firefighters. The Governor’s commitment to supporting first responders — and specifically Virginia’s firefighters — remains consistent and unchanged.”
Yeah, they're not impressed with Abigail.
They can join the club.
