New Republic writer thinks the number of GOP presidential hopefuls under DOJ investigation has just doubled

The story of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis flying a whopping 50 Venezuelan migrants to Martha’s Vineyard broke Wednesday night; it’s now Saturday afternoon and it’s still dominating the news cycle (and the Twitter outrage cycle). Within 24 hours, all of the migrants who were putting a huge strain on the island’s infrastructure were on buses to (a military base on) Cape Cod. As we reported, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking the DOJ to investigate Govs. DeSantis and Greg Abbott for kidnapping, alleging that the migrants were lied to or otherwise coerced in order to get them on those planes and buses. And Hawaii’s second-dumbest senator, Brian Schatz, also posted part of the Federal Kidnapping Statute.

Timothy Noah of the New Republic seems to think that being under investigation by the Justice Department is a prerequisite for being a presidential hopeful in 2024. Keep in mind that DeSantis is only under investigation in liberals’ dreams, though.

The DOJ and FBI certainly have given plenty of reasons to reconsider that election.

The media is doing its best to demonstrate that the good white liberals of Martha’s Vineyard fed, clothed, and bathed the migrants for one whole day before they shipped them off to a military base for processing by immigration attorneys.
