Even though they don’t have to, many still *chose* to stay home and do childcare. You want women back? Open schools.

and it cascades from there. When mom stays home (teacher or laid off nurse) the family budget changes as well resulting in less eating out so the waitresses are affected, the cleaning lady is dismissed, no day care is needed . . . plenty of women are affected by closed schools.
