And Jihad Friday escalates further. This is apparently the same southern Afghanistan base where Prince Harry is stationed.

Early reports call the assault “complex” and indicate the attackers were armed with mortars and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
Attack on Camp Bastion using RPGs surprising to me. Base was put in the middle of an open desert. Hard to get that close undetected.

Reports speak of attackers using small arms, rockets & mortars to launch a complex assault on the perimeter of Camp Bastion,Helmand province.

#campbastion attack. Shocking security breach. In vast desert, surrounded by concrete walls, towers and watched by remote planes.
— Chris Hughes (@defencechris) September 14, 2012
It’s possible that the attack is over already. News sources say that the attack was made on Camp Leatherneck, the American side of the base.
MT“@brianwhelanhack: @Tweetingbanksy have heard reports from Turkish soldier stationed there that it's all over already."

@Amanda_Mck01 it appears that it's over, although reports are sketchy.

Sky Sources: No British troops involved in attack on Camp Bastion, attack is on U.S. side of the base
— Sky News Breaking (@SkyNewsBreak) September 14, 2012
Sky reporting that attack in Bastion is in American sector. Due to its size an attack there could go unnoticed in British section. It's vast.
— James Banks (@Tweetingbanksy) September 14, 2012
Camp Leatherneck is where main conc of US are based in Bastion, whilst its name suggests a separate camp it's simply another area of the base
