MTV bows to Obama on speech conflict

Via Deadline Hollywood:

MTV does not want to split the vote with Barack Obama. The network has shifted the start time of its Video Music Awards on September 6 in LA so it won’t slam into Obama’s acceptance speech the same night at the Democratic National Convention.
