As a Florida Native who is very proud of my state and even more proud of our very based Governor, I take personal offense when people try to misrepresent something he said. So, this has me seeing red.

A lying Democrat put up this video of Governor DeSantis talking about the rights of drivers to run through protestors if they were surrounding their vehicle. That's just common sense, actually. So, Keith Edwards, a Democrat Youtuber, tried to twist that to mean Rebecca Good had the right to run over the ICE officials surrounding her vehicle.
WRONG, you big dummy!
Law enforcement surrounding your vehicle have every right to ask you to stop and get out. Citizens can't run them over. That's a whole different thing than a whole bunch of Leftist protestors who smell like hot dog water forcing a driver to be late for work or picking up their kid from school. This isn't a hard concept. It's not for smart people, at least. Governor DeSantis was protecting citizens from mob violence. Running over an ICE official isn't saving yourself from an attack by evildoers.
He was referring to the type of incident (below) that occured in Tallahassee after the death of GeorgeFloyd. The protestors jumped on the truck and punched thru the window. The driver fled thru the crowd. Video below👇👇https://t.co/dJadYt8dbp https://t.co/UAkrZWrfuE

That's exactly what he meant, but dumb dumb Keith Edwards knows that. He is just trying to excuse attempted murder.
So the new trend is taking clips from months ago and applying it to whatever you want? I instantly don’t trust him now. https://t.co/hf0RRkvRqy

That's what dishonest Democrats do.
False framing. Listen to what @GovRonDeSantis SAYS here. Under the law, if you're driving somewhere, there is a riot blocking your way, and you get surrounded in your car by a violent "mob", you do not have to stop and let them potentially harm you. That's self-defense. You have… https://t.co/gl0tUscQli

That about sums it up.
This is a video from half a year ago where DeSantis talks about people being surrounded by leftist mobs.

Keith is lying. Unfollow Keith. https://t.co/HVKzxqc9z5

This meme always applies to Leftists.
So we have officially reached the “yea she was trying to run the officer over but that is a good thing” defense.
— Brutusallmighty (@brutusallmighty) January 8, 2026
That's exactly what the Left is saying.
Multiple efforts to add @CommunityNotes , but the community seems to be ok with Keith misleading his followers.

That's a shame.
Resisting a crowd is legal, resisting arrest is illegal lmao.

Boom!
Citizen protesters have no legal right to obstruct your transit. They have to get out of your way
— Doug (@RockDocDoug) January 8, 2026
Police have a right to obstruct and detain you when you break the law. You have to stop and comply. You have no right to flee.
It has to be in very simple terms for Keith to understand.
