HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was in Pittsburgh Thursday to promote Obamacare with Steelers chairman Dan Rooney at Heinz Field. Sebelius gushed over how “early glitches” were “getting better every day” and told the audience of about 100 that HealthCare.gov is “open for business.” Perhaps she should have waited until that wasn’t, y’know, lie.

TribLive.com reports:

“Believe me, we had some early glitches,” said Sebelius, who was introduced by Rooney, a backer of the law. “But it’s getting better every day.”

At the back of the room, it was a different story. About 20 people armed with laptops and certified by the government to sign up people for coverage were meeting with uninsured people, answering questions and fruitlessly trying to access the website.

LaKesha Lowry, 41, came to the event to find out about her health insurance options. But the North Side resident said she was not able to access the site, even with the help of a certified application counselor.

Area residents attempting to access HealthCare.gov were met with messages like “try again later.” Damn those “unexpected” errors!

Obamacare propagandists like Planned Parenthood told a different story.

How many people successfully signed up at the enrollment event in Pittsburgh? Sebelius and Planned Parenthood didn’t tout any “successes” on their Twitter feeds. But we already know how the Obama administration defines “success”: a blank page.
