These used to be blue states, and now they're seeing YUGE jobs increases under Trump

Jobs, jobs, jobs.

If the upcoming midterm elections come down to the employment status of many Americans, the Republicans may well end up maintaining a majority in the House of Representatives and expanding their majority in the Senate.

Three states that President Trump flipped from blue to red in 2016, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida, have seen major increases in jobs numbers in the past year under his administration.

“Florida and Texas, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, not only led the nation in the number of nonfarm jobs they added in the year running from September 2017 to September 2018 but also added the greatest number of jobs to their states in any September-to-September period on record.”

The greatest number of jobs added to Florida and Texas in any annual period on record.

“Ohio and Pennsylvania—sometimes considered part of the nation’s “Rust Belt”—also saw significant job gains from September 2017 to September 2018, with Ohio showing the largest increase for its state in 21 years and Pennsylvania showing the largest increase in 18 years.”

In all, 37 states had nonfarm payroll increases from September 2017 to September 2018.

This is something Trump has good reason to tout as he campaigns for Republican Senate candidates across the nation.

The Texas news is also positive for the GOP, which hopes to keep Ted Cruz’s Senate seat from falling to Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke.
