"Our republic is very much in the balance": SPARE us, Kamala Harris; We all know you want to be president

If you were judging by Democrats’ tweets over the past 24 hours, you would assume that Brett Kavanaugh was the one who had his former lawyer reach a plea deal with federal prosecutors and his former campaign manager convicted on eight counts of fraud.

California Sen. Kamala Harris is the latest to tell us why yesterday’s news, which at this point is merely tangential to President Trump, is the reason why Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing should be delayed.

“I believe that the future of our republic is very much in the balance.”

“I believe that the future of our democracy is very much in the balance.”

And we believe that Kamala Harris very much wants to be a future presidential candidate.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was unwavering when pressed about Kavanaugh’s nomination that his hearings will begin as scheduled, on September 4th.

And Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) confirms that the Kavanaugh hearings will not be delayed.

So often, Democrats’ immediate reaction is to overreach, which nearly always ends up making them look ridiculous.
