Former U.S. attorney general under George W. Bush Michael Mukasey weighed in on the claims made by President Donald Trump that former President Barack Obama tapped the lines in Trump Tower. He says while Trump was not correct that Obama himself would have ordered the wiretaps, he is right that there was surveillance of Trump Tower and that it was conducted at the behest of the Justice Department. Interestingly, the only clip of this interview the @ABCPolitics account deemed worthy of promotion was when Mukasey said a wiretap “means there was some basis to believe that somebody in Trump Tower may have been acting as an agent of the Russians.”
