Who’s ready for another one of these?
SHOT. . .
Texas Dem and gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke called out Gov. Greg Abbott for banning mask mandates in schools.
“If Abbott has no interest in keeping our kids safe, he can at least get out of the way and let local officials provide the necessary leadership,” he tweeted:
74,000 Texans have died from Covid. After Abbott banned school mask protocols, Texas became a national leader in child Covid deaths.

CHASER. . .
And here’s Beto meeting with a bunch of Houston teachers, indoors in a tiny room, and everyone is unmasked:
1/3 of Texas teachers leave the profession by their 5th year.
Teachers tell me that guaranteeing fair pay, lowering class sizes (some of these teachers have 40+ kids in their classrooms!) & reducing this state’s emphasis on high-stakes testing could encourage teacher retention. pic.twitter.com/AZaQVXV96o

Doesn’t he care about keeping kids safe?!
CHASER NO. 2. . .
Maybe he can explain the science behind keeping kids safe when he wears a mask around longshoremen who do not teach kids in school and not around teacher who, you know, do:
Port of Houston longshoremen handle 2/3 of all the containerized cargo in the Gulf of Mexico. They perform grueling manual labor 10-15 hours a day.
I’m grateful for the efforts of the ILA Local 24 to guarantee safe working conditions and fair wages/benefits for their workers. pic.twitter.com/268GZXSk8m

Unbelievable, yet, believable.
