This might leave a mark:

ICYMI, here’s the former mayor of New York City from his introduction of Donald Trump yesterday in Youngstown, Ohio where he omitted 9/11 in an attempt to paint President Obama as weak on fighting terror:

“Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States.”

Update 11:33. Rudy says he was “misinterpreted” because he was speaking in “abbreviated” language:

In a conversation with the Daily News a day after the NYC former mayor appeared to fail to remember the worst terror attack in U.S. history, Giuliani said the gaffe was only a product of the brevity he likes to use while on the campaign stump for Donald Trump.

“I’m not there to give a major 45 minute policy address,” he said of his Monday introduction of Trump in Youngstown, Ohio, where he said plainly that “under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States.”

“You speak in somewhat abbreviated language,” Giuliani told The News Tuesday. “All human beings speak in abbreviated language at times.”

When asked whether he would likely find his foot in his mouth again, Giuliani replied with his newfound conciseness.

“Of course,” he said.
