AOC blames NYC crime increase on people just trying to feed their families, gets mugged by data

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blamed an increase in crime in New York City on people just trying to feed their families:

And it’s not just in New York City:

The reality is that New York City is moving backward and that’s not going to be good for anyone:

I lived in NYC in the 1980s & 1990s.

My neighborhood had 103 murders in 1990.

It had less than 10 per year after @RudyGiuliani and @MikeBloomberg led the city.

Crime goes up when government demoralizes cops and emboldens criminals.
