On Monday, CNN asked a bunch of people to comment on the de-platforming of Alex Jones and this one from Rafia Zakaria caught our eye.
You see, hate speech is “a form of terrorism”:

Conservatives warned that this was going to happen:
Same media who lampooned conservative concerns over this imaginary concept of hate speech being pushed on college campuses sure adopted it fast.

And can anyone at CNN at least admit that this is nowhere near anyone’s definition of terrorism?
Defining "terrorism" is not an exact science, though we have some pretty good working definitions. This doesn't fit within even the most capacious of those definitions. https://t.co/2rzzUWzDz4 pic.twitter.com/cnlX1FBwh8

And she’s helpfully proving the “slippery slope” case that many conservatives were fighting:

Who wants to tell her that “hate speech” is free speech?
This is an insane and evil view that CNN is promoting. https://t.co/uTJg78hA8u pic.twitter.com/FtmqgRNjuS

For more on this:
1. Banning entities from social media platforms for violation of vague “hate speech” guidelines is dangerous to free speech;
2. There is a difference between hate speech and actual libel or slander.
3. Bans for the latter are prudent, for the former are subject to abuse.

And:
Banning Alex Jones isn't about free speech, it's about the incoherence of "hate speech" and the impossible task of policing it on social media https://t.co/HefN37hzzu
