Dr. Robert Malone Puts Fauci's Wife and the NIH on BLAST After She Gave Her One-Finger Salute

All is not well in Fauci-land these days.

Sure, he's still got that autopen pardon in his pocket, but now that he pled the Fifth more than 100 times in the Senate, Tony Fauci has been held in contempt of Congress and referred to the DOJ for that offense.

Normally, I frown on the paparazzi going to someone's home, but in Fauci's case, I'll make an exception. The image of a forlorn Fauci taking out the garbage isn't justice, but it is schadenfreudelicious. And I'll take that ... for now.

If anyone in the world deserves to look that miserable, it is the evil little gnome who destroyed a country for years in pursuit of his own celebrity.

But it gets even better. The media also captured a picture of Fauci's wife, former head of the Bioethics Department at NIH Christine Grady, who also seemed less than thrilled at the family's fortunes of late.

Anthony Fauci took the Fifth 111 times before Congress.
Hours later, the Senate committee voted to hold him in contempt.
Then his wife, one of America's most powerful bioethicists, flipped off a photographer.

Yes, bioethicist.
Christine Grady spent nearly three decades at the NIH Department of Bioethics.
She eventually became its chief.
Her specialties included informed consent, human-subject protections, vulnerability and research ethics.
And apparently, public relations.

Putting Fauci's wife in charge of bioethics is like putting Eva Braun in charge of a Jewish outreach program.

Malone continued:

Grady wasn't merely an NIH employee.
She occupied the top position in American bioethics.
She served seven years on the President's Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.
She lectured the rest of us about ethics.
She is married the most powerful public-health bureaucrat…

NIH likes to says that Grady did NOT personally approve Fauci's research protocols or clear his financial conflicts.
Fine.
But she did oversea writing the policies that directed Fauci's research and approvals.
And that leaves a much more interesting question: Who did?

... Fauci wasn't just running NIAID.
He was also a government inventor who received royalty payments.
And here we enter the magical world of Washington ethics.
Where a conflict of interest can be a conflict of interest without technically being one.

Malone posted a few more tweets questioning how the NIH creates and enforces its policies before concluding with several critical questions.

And here's another.
Who designed this ethics system?
Who decided that government scientists could receive royalty payments without those payments automatically constituting financial conflicts?
Who defended that policy?
And who was responsible for policing it?

I think I can guess the answer to that last question.

Malone then turned his focus back on Grady.

Which brings us back to Christine Grady.
She spent decades inside NIH bioethics while her husband accumulated extraordinary power inside NIH.
That doesn't prove wrongdoing.
But it certainly makes one question worth asking:
What role, if any, did her department play in developing…

If it's beginning to sound like an Animal Farm-esque system of 'some scientists are more equal than others', there's a good reason for that.

While, as Malone acknowledged, nothing is confirmed, it sure looks like that's exactly what was going on.

NIH needs to release the records.
Show the recusals.
Show the waivers.
Show the conflict reviews.
Show us who reviewed Fauci and what they concluded.
This shouldn't be difficult.
It is, after all, an ethics question.

Her husband may be clinging to that autopen pardon for dear life, but she doesn't have one.

A LOT of people who enabled Fauci do not have one of those get-out-of-jail-free cards.

And the American people deserve answers.

For years, Americans were told:
Trust the science.
Trust the institutions.
Trust the experts.
Now Fauci takes the Fifth 111 times, and his bioethicist wife gives the public a one-finger salute.
