The Democrat leadership of California has, thanks to the efforts of the Trump administration and citizen journos like Nick Shirley, laughably started trying to take credit for all the fraud that's being exposed in Gavin Newsom's state.
This is as shameless as it gets:
California is again leading the charge against large-scale identity theft and hospice fraud.

Today, we're taking decisive action against 14 providers who tried using stolen identities to bill Medi-Cal for nonexistent hospice services.
That's from the same Newsom whose press office mocked Nick Shirley for exposing the massive daycare fraud in California:

Yep, Team Newsom really takes the subject of fraud seriously!
Now California Attorney General Rob Bonta has gotten in on the action, and this doesn't say what he thinks it does:
BREAKING: "While health care fraud might be President Trump's shiny new political talking point, California DOJ has been going after health care fraud since 1979. For decades."

"Trump is late to the party." - Rob Bonta, California Attorney General pic.twitter.com/5AeVEfzz6j
He says they've been going after fraud for decades and yet it's still going on at a massive scale? Hey, great work, crimefighters!
Bonta’s own words just exposed him.

Forty-seven years of fighting fraud since 1979 and LA County’s still sitting on three and a half billion dollars in hospice scams, with feds arresting crews for sixty million just last week.
He’s not late to the party, he’s been hosting it.…
"We've been fighting this for decades and yet it is now worse than ever" doesn't say what Bonta thinks it does.
If California was going after healthcare fraud since 1979, why has hospice seen exponential growth in LA County alone, at rates that exceed the population growth? https://t.co/4YFeaJ48Mr

Because they haven't really been going after health care fraud for decades?
As usual, the Dem approach on all this is to just lie and hope everybody's stupid.
