The midterm elections are just about eight months off, and the Democrats are making sure Barack Obama is playing a prominent role.
Considering Obama's track record, that fact might not really bother the Republicans very much:
During Barack Obama’s presidency (2009–2017), the Democratic Party experienced historic, sweeping losses, with over 1,030 seats lost in Congress, state legislatures, and governor’s offices. Democrats lost control of 13 governorships, 816 state legislative seats, and lost majorities in both the House and Senate, largely due to the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections.
Most recently, Obama threw his full support behind Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, and you know how that went for the Dems.
So I don't really mind when the former president decides to maintain a visible presence when it comes to elections, but one of the most comical accusations from Obama is that Republicans are attacking "free and fair elections" partly because of redistricting:
Free and fair elections are the cornerstone of our democracy. But right now, they’re under attack.

Several Republican-controlled states have redrawn their congressional maps to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterm elections.
Now Virginia has a chance to help level… pic.twitter.com/CDgaH5sumc
There's the usual hypocrisy and projection.
We might not even know who Barack Obama is without his redistricting efforts early on. I've pointed this out before and will again:
Just stop, hypocrite. https://t.co/8jLj3dxpsl pic.twitter.com/GHYtLAMh5T

As usual, if you want to know what the Democrats have done, just pay attention to what they're accusing Republicans of doing.
This is no different:
Former President Obama wants "free and fair elections" by having you vote to eliminate the representation of an entire political party from Virginia.

THAT is the Obama definition of "free and fair."
What's even more laughable is when Obama takes the "look what Republicans are making us do" approach. These Dems were the OG gerrymanderers:

Hey, would Obama lie to us? Wait, never mind:
