Today I present to you a "journalism" story in two parts.
Part I: The Lies and Legal Accountability:
The settlement was publicly filed on Saturday, revealing that the two parties have come to an agreement and avoided a costly trial. According to the settlement, ABC News will pay $15 million as a charitable contribution to a "Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for Plaintiff, as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past." Additionally, the network will pay $1 million in Trump's attorney fees.
Stephanopoulos and ABC News will issue statements of "regret" as an editor's note at the bottom of a March 10, 2024, online article, about comments made earlier this year that prompted Trump to file a defamation lawsuit.
Then, about a week later...
Part II: The "Punishment":
ABC was just forced to pay $15 million to President Trump after George Stephanopoulos defamed him.

A few days later, ABC rewards George Stephanopoulos with a new contract reportedly worth $20 million a year.
No matter how much you hate the corporate media, it’s not enough. pic.twitter.com/rsSE2dMDiB
Yep, you read that correctly!

It's almost as if they know lying is a job requirement and doing it loyally, even if it costs your employer millions of dollars, will get you handsomely rewarded.
Let me get this straight: Defame @realDonaldTrump and ABC will pay you $20 MILLION A YEAR. https://t.co/1JIMdOeze6

People often ask why the corporate media lies so much, and the answer is "that's what they get paid to do." The above story is just the latest example.
This might be making Dan Rather wish he'd have been born just a little later and maybe he'd still have his job at CBS News and have even gotten a big contract extension.
“Good Morning America” co-host George Stephanopoulos, who is taking fire over the Walt Disney Co.’s decision to settle President-elect Trump’s defamation suit against ABC News, isn’t going anywhere.
Stephanopoulos, 63, recently agreed to a new multi-year contract to remain with the ABC News morning program, according to several people familiar with matter who were not authorized to comment publicly.
There's big money in being a paid propagandist!
I need to start defaming people more so I can get promoted.

We can make more fun of @ABC him. Money can’t hide the shame and humiliation.

Some of these "journalists" don't seem to be capable of those emotions.
