As we get ready to close out 2023 and head into the election year of 2024, it's abundantly clear that the Biden presidency has been a disaster for the country and even parts of the world.
Worst presidency ever? Yeah, I'd say so, and it might not even be a very close contest.
Everything costs more, the dollar buys far less than it used to, millions of people have entered the U.S. illegally via a border that's been left intentionally porous and criminals are allowed to roam the streets in many areas. Heck, China was even allowed to float a spy balloon over the entire country and transmit its data back to the CCP before it was shot down over the Atlantic after completing its mission. Biden has been a national security train wreck.
When it comes to this administration's overseas policies, the Biden State Department's "just don't" doctrine is working out just great:
Iranian-backed proxies have attacked U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria at least 150 times since President Joe Biden took office, two U.S. defense officials tell VOA.
More than a third of those attacks have occurred in the last month, marking a clear surge in violence against U.S. forces in the region.
Asked on March 28 about the number of Iranian-backed attacks on U.S. forces in the Middle East during the Biden administration, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee that there had been 83 attacks.
That's from a six-week-old story. The number is even higher now.
Under Biden, the country has become weaker both at home and abroad.
All that is why I cringed after running across four words in a POTUS tweet sent while Biden is on vacation at a billionaire's home in St. Croix:
Together, we've shown the world the power of American possibilities.

And we're not finished yet. pic.twitter.com/3ewMa8GQAl
Ronald Reagan once said "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help," and now the four most terrifying words are Team Biden promising "we're not finished yet." If this bunch is allowed another term the country will indeed be finished.
This feels like a threat

Right? What's even richer is that things are going so bad (and the White House knows it despite the gaslighting they do on social media) that they're forced to brag about the stock market. Remember when Biden used to remind everybody that "Wall Street doing well doesn't mean Main Street is also doing well"?
This is what Biden was saying last year:
It’s all a part of this trickle-down mentality that says it doesn’t matter what’s happening on Main Street; what really matters is what’s happening on Wall Street. If Wall Street is doing well, everybody is doing well.
Well, I noticed that the last — the previous four years, we weren’t doing that well, and Wall Street was doing well.
Now, because of a necessary "any port in a storm" mentality, Democrats are trying credit for the stability of the stock market in recent weeks:
The stock market set records this year and ended up 24% for the year.

Thank you to the American people.
Thank you @POTUS and @VP.
Thank you to the American Rescue Plan; Infrastructure Act; and Chips and Science Act passed when Democrats were in control.
Happy New Year! https://t.co/kXenDNcyH7
Look, I don't doubt "The Big Guy," along with insider traders like Nancy Pelosi and others keep close track of the market, and even us "regular" people care because our retirement plans depend on a healthy market, but the economic environment isn't good, this president has allowed an ongoing invasion at the southern border and in general the world is a more dangerous place.
"We're not finished yet"? No freaking thanks, man.

Have a happy, healthy and safe New Year's, everybody! As always, thanks for reading.
