Yesterday President Biden had a video call with Democrat governors to address what is now their top priority. Bringing down inflation & gas prices? Getting big city crime and the border crisis under control? Of course not. The topic of discussion was how blue states are going to work around the Supreme Court striking down Roe v. Wade.
Tune in as I convene a virtual meeting with Governors to discuss efforts to protect access to reproductive health care. https://t.co/Pv3Vc02fLg

Meanwhile, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi seems to think he’s doing the Lord’s work here by pointing out how awful the U.S. is by not at least having laws that reflect those in some other countries, including authoritarian regimes with “horrible” human/women’s rights records:
Ali Velshi wants you to know that "Cuba, Argentina, Turkey, Russia, China, and I hope you are sitting down for this one, North Korea" have better abortion laws than the U.S.
This isn't the point you think it is, Ali. pic.twitter.com/TVH0GyavRq

“Here’s why America should be more like some authoritarian nations” is quite the take.
Positive comments about Putin are apparently OK as long as they’re isolated:
Why is Velshi praising Putin's Russia? Makes one wonder

Velshi doesn’t seem to quite understand the point he’s making.
There's that trademark lack of self awareness. https://t.co/cfogTdBskD

They refuse to see the pattern for obvious reasons.
