'You are #FakeNews'! Frank Luntz asks blue check writer to name a conservative 'mad at Malia Obama' (deflection ensues)

As we told you a couple days ago, it became apparent that the “conservatives are outraged” memos went out fast after there was a report in the media about Malia Obama drinking wine with friends. Here’s one such tweet:

The same people mad at Malia Obama for drinking wine and wearing a bathing suit at age 20 are the same people who excuse Brett Kavanaugh for drinking beer and assaulting a woman at age 17

— ???? ????????? (@ZackBornstein) February 19, 2019

Pollster Frank Luntz asked for some specifics:

Can you cite one verified conservative figure who is “mad at Malia Obama?”

— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) February 20, 2019

The answer? A non-answer:

Only if you tell me where you bought all your followers

Luntz responded to the fast attempt to change the subject:

You are #FakeNews. pic.twitter.com/lrBYJ2NpKa

— Frank Luntz (@FrankLuntz) February 20, 2019

But at least the answer is now known:

So the answer is "No?"

— vaRepublicMan (@Max_Bakers) February 20, 2019

That would appear to be the case.

Hey way to deflect the question and change the subject to something completely irrelevant ?

No answer, eh?

This tweet is where you confirmed that your initial tweet is indefensible.

Instead of dishing out snark, you could’ve just acknowledged that you were wrong.
