Back in July we told you about a new voter registration drive led by Michelle Obama, and there was one word to describe the push that moved needles on BS detectors into the red. That word is still being used to describe the initiative:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama is headlining voter registration rallies in Las Vegas and Miami later this month on behalf of a nonpartisan voting organization she co-chairs.
— Zeke Miller (@ZekeJMiller) September 5, 2018
And with that, a fresh round of “point and laugh” was launched:
"Nonpartisan voting organization"

Hey, what’s so funny? *Eye roll*
nonpartisan… Good tweet. https://t.co/wIRvctNPLR

This single AP sentence is one to behold. https://t.co/sCJ6n2Mbph

Yes, I'm sure they're encouraging non-liberals to vote.

I do not think that word 'non-partisan' means what they think it does! ?
— Joseph Sabo (@sabo_joseph) September 5, 2018
This Michelle Obama organization isn’t “nonpartisan” and you know it.
Why would you report something you know to be false?
Accuracy and truthfulness are all that matters in your line of business.

@ZekeJMiller Why couldn't you just write "on behalf of a voting organization she co-chairs?" As wife of former Democrat President, every reader knows she is not "nonpartisan". Perfect example of how media has lost credibility to report basic facts. #Journalism101 https://t.co/oKZqE7BURh

"nonpartisan" #FakeNews https://t.co/bYdVJzRnDj

Valerie Jarrett (board president), former First Lady CoS Tina Tchen (treasurer), Pete Rouse, Obama sr adviser (board), CEO Kyle Lierman, former senior policy adviser in WH who founded Civic Advisors, consulting firm home to Obama WH alumni. Otherwise, nonpartisan.
