Ron Klain lets us know the president once again has some control over the price of gas (for now)

When gas prices were rapidly rising, everybody remembers the blame game that the Biden White House was playing. High gas prices were because of “Putin’s price hike” combined with the greed from Big Oil and their price gouging (oddly enough that greed didn’t seem to exist until Biden took office and brought his policies with him).

When gas prices were skyrocketing (they’re still incredibly high compared to previous years and administrations) the Dem and media mantra was “presidents don’t control the price of gas!”

However, whenever there’s a drop of a few cents suddenly the Biden White House rushes out to credit the president and his policies. The difference is that now the media’s apparently not fast enough to play along and clearly Biden’s chief of staff Ron Klain is a bit irritated:

As usual, Klain is among Biden White House staffers who hope everybody has developed amnesia and is incapable of remembering how things were before the start of 2021.

Biden obviously has control over gas prices but only when they’re dropping, but otherwise the blame lies elsewhere.

Klain of course didn’t mention that Biden has siphoned the country’s strategic reserve and is now allowing Chevron to produce and export oil from Venezuela:

The Treasury Department granted permission Saturday for oil giant Chevron to produce and export oil from Venezuela following the South American country’s decision to restart talks with opposition groups.

The move could add supply to the global oil market, which may ease fuel prices and speed the declines in U.S. gasoline prices that have been a political burden for President Joe Biden since Russia invaded Ukraine in February.

Oil produced in a dictatorship must be “cleaner” than oil produced in the United States, or something.

Speaking of that, the White House claimed that allowing Chevron to produce and export oil from Venezuela was not taken in response to high energy prices (does anybody buy that one?).

Not long ago The Hill also helped Biden spin high gas prices, reporting that Hurricane Ian in Florida could have also contributed to the problem, but it appears that since then Biden has worked his magic by waving the wand that lowers gas prices.

Biden literally promised to “end fossil fuel” while on the campaign trail in 2019:

“I guarantee you we’re going to end fossil fuels.”

Now these same people want us to believe this administration should be thanked for making gasoline so affordable (when it’s anything but)? Please.

The only fuel these people are experts on is the one that powers their gaslighting.
