New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s campaign against a primary challenge from Cynthia Nixon has brought with it some rather desperate campaign trail claims in order to attempt to out-liberal his opponent. Brace yourselves:
Cuomo is so unused to pandering rhetorically to the left that this is what happens when he tries. https://t.co/qQe5oZzUf9

Seriously!?

Cuomo on the history of Italian immigrants facing discrimination: "You want to deport immigrants start with me, because I'm an undocumented person."

Ain’t it the truth!
My God.

How odd that the Governor of New York seems unfamiliar with Ellis Island.

As the descendant of Italian immigrants, I can tell you this is most certainly not true. Cuomo's family emigrated in the 20s, mine in the 40s, but both would have had to have a sponors, and would have been subject to registration upon entering the US through Ellis Island. https://t.co/YaEpfU2ekM

Narrator: Andrew Cuomo has a document called a "birth certificate" issued by the New York City Bureau of Vital Statistics. https://t.co/QiqcGjjyWt

Cuomo’s claim that he’s “undocumented” doesn’t pass this fact check:
You're a documented meat head. https://t.co/qG9ssQx7zS
