AOC Holds Up a Jar of Georgia 'Drinking Water' Polluted by a Nearby Data Center

I see that one of the new bogeymen in America is the data center. I've seen polls saying that 70 percent of Americans don't want a data center constructed near them. On Tuesday, People Magazine posted yet again its story about how a data center in Georgia was gulping down 30 million gallons of water, lowering water pressure for nearby residents.

False. Fayette County stated this did not affect residential water pressure; operational usage is less than 1% of capacity. The 30M gallons was used over the course of a year in construction phase due to a county metering error. QTS paid full retroactive charges.

That someone might just be Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It was show-and-tell day for her, and she brought in a jar of drinking water from near that Georgia data center.

Thanks to Acyn for bringing that video to my attention. He must have thought it was pure gold.

Someone who probably wants AOC to be elected president in 2028 probably sent her a jar of well water from Georgia via FedEx with that story.

Whether or not data centers are a good thing or not is debatable, but this is not that debate. AOC needs to go back to bartending.
