Texas Woman: Don’t Dare Scare Women With Lies About Miscarriage

Twitchy

This post struck a chord with Vice President JD Vance, and it struck a chord with me as well. When the Dobbs decision came down, the arguments that millions of women would die without abortion were flying left and right. I remember writing about Halle Berry passing around a list of all of the things women could die from without abortion. Treatment for ectopic pregnancies will be outlawed, and women will die from sepsis.

That really pissed me off because my wife and I suffered a miscarriage. On our way to see her OB/GYN for a check-in, I remember my wife feeling nervous. We were told that what we had was a blighted ovum … an egg that was never going to develop into a baby. She had a D&C, which the pro-abortion crowd will now tell you was an abortion.

Anyway, here's a post that caught the attention of the vice president:

The post continues:

… nature take its course, I could jump-start the process with medication, or I could opt for a D&C.

At no point was I blamed or questioned. It wasn't my fault. I was a grieving mother...I am still a grieving mother...who lost her child. The medical system and the people within it, did what they could for me throughout the entire process.

My story is not an outlier. It's the norm. We do not live in a dystopian novel. Shit happens. Awful shit happens. But don't you DARE scare women who are out there just trying to build a family for your own political gain.

Monsters. Every one of you who push this narrative that women will be imprisoned for a miscarriage.

100 percent.

But as she said, there are monsters out there who will tell you that women will go to jail for having a miscarriage, or they'll die while their frightened doctors debate over the phone whether they can legally treat an ectopic pregnancy.

I can't say anything better than Sky did, so I'll leave it there.
