WaPo editor tells PBS when he hears 'parental rights,' he hears, 'parental rights for whom?'

As Twitchy reported, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, along with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his Parental Rights in Education bill, made the phrase “parents’ rights” a dirty word in liberal circles, with Juan Williams saying it was just code for “white race politics.” Teachers have said that the parents’ rights movement is “literally just fascism.”

On Thursday, the House debated the proposed Parental Bill of Rights, and Democrats reacted to it like vampires to a crucifix. A Parental Bill of Rights would leave children dead. MAGA Republicans didn’t want the Holocaust taught in schools, nor that slavery, which Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is still fighting today, was bad. It would terrorize teachers to make them post their curricula online, making them “sacrificial lambs.”

PBS NewsHour had on David Brooks and Washington Post Associate Editor Jonathan Capehart to talk about the Parental Bill of Rights, with Capehart noting it would put a target on the backs of trans kids.

Parental rights for those parents with backward ideas on sex education, most of whom don’t have advanced degrees like teachers, if they graduated from high school at all.

Does he have kids in public school? Skin in the game, as they say? Why do Democrats have such a horrible perception of parents of schoolchildren? Parents are the enemy, and public schools are there to make sure their kids don’t follow in their footsteps.
