As Twitchy just reported, MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tried to make the argument that the “rightright” had convinced itself that the FBI was a “hotbed of liberals with an axe to grind against conservatives.” The FBI! Can you believe it? And to whom did he go for proof? Peter “Insurance Policy” Strzok.
The Twitter Files show the FBI, which had the Hunter Biden hard drive and knew it was authentic, setting up social media companies with a warning that a “Russian disinformation campaign” was headed their way involving Hunter. But the FBI has said in a statement that that’s nothing new; it often works with the private sector to keep us all safe. The FBI floating the Russian disinformation lie was akin to Hillary Clinton’s lawyers floating the lie that the Trump campaign had a secret server set up with a Russian bank: it was made up.
Collin Rugg, who says he was banned from Twitter for supporting President Trump, asked a very simple question Tuesday: Do you trust Elon Musk more than you trust the FBI?
Do you trust Elon Musk more than you trust the FBI?

That simple question garnered 30,000 replies.

Not only Elon Musk but I trust Captain Hook doing my prostate exam more than I trust the FBI.
— Randy Albert (@Hokie80MinE) December 21, 2022
Easy. YES!

Things that I trust more than the FBI:
Emails from Nigerian princes
Investment opportunities from Bernie Madoff and SBF
Week old sushi— Mark Fabi (@MarkFabiMD) December 21, 2022
Is this even a legitimate question?

I trust gas station sushi with a drink made by Bill Cosby being served in Bengazi circa 2011 while Casey Anthony is watching the kids at Jeff epstiens Island more than I trust @FBI …
— John Buffington (@SWATdoc1911A1) December 21, 2022
Absolutely.
— Corin Nemec (@imcorinnemec) December 21, 2022
Also, this isn't a bad question. The main reason is because he is at least more seemingly transparent. FBI by design has no accountability or transparency.

A million times more.
— Justacowgirl 🇸🇮🇺🇸 (@Proudcowgirl3) December 21, 2022
Well… yeah, but that'd be true even if I didn't trust Elon Musk at all.
— Carl James Grindley (@CJGrindley) December 21, 2022
I trust North Korea more than @FBI

Any day all day.

It’s sad to say, but yes. Hard to believe we have sunk the lowest points our country has ever been. It’s disgraceful and disrespectful to our founders.

Hands down. I hope I don’t get arrested for saying that 😂

Not even close

I trust Wesley Snipes to do my taxes more than I trust the FBI.

I've worked with the FBI. I haven't worked with Elon. Working with Elon would probably be a lot more interesting. 🤷🏼♂️
— Dubhghlas (@Psycho_Six) December 21, 2022
Yes, but do not confuse that with me trusting Elon Musk.
— We Skeem (@WeSkeem) December 21, 2022
“Yes,” is the overwhelming answer, but some people say that’s a pretty low bar — but even then the FBI manages to limbo under it. Just look at the FBI-to-Twitter pipeline under former management. Does anyone on the seventh floor of the FBI wonder why the agency has such a credibility problem?
