We’ve seen plenty of research trying to disrupt the gender binary, to the point where the American Medical Association has advocated for the removal of a baby’s sex from the birth certificate. The science journal Nature argued not only that assigning gender by the genitals one is born with “has no foundation in science” — it found that the history of sex-difference research “is rife with innumeracy, misinterpretation, publication bias, weak statistical power, inadequate controls and worse.”
Dr. Jessica Equivel, a self-professed AfroLatinX physicist, says that if we look at the very smallest particles that make up our universe, we’d find that queerness reigns supreme.
The Queer Universe: "In our macroscopic world, binary categorizations and absolutes seem to be the norm, but if we tunnel down to the smallest, most elementary particles of our universe, we enter a world where chaos and queerness reign supreme." — @DrEsquivelPhD pic.twitter.com/KNAlrM2GV4

And this is why kindergarten is the time to start introducing gender identity into the curriculum, before “cisnormative” values become ingrained in the children.
Sadly there’s no link to the paper or journal in which this appears, because we’d be curious to read more. Are we talking about atoms or something even smaller?
Hilarious gobbledygook.
— Jacques Maree (@JacquesMaree73) November 21, 2022
That is the most unintelligible gobbledygook I have ever heard.

It's not science that is strange, it's just the people pretending to adhere to it.

atoms are gay

I think she meant quarkness
— Helmu the oo B (@HelmuOo) November 21, 2022
That would explain a lot.
Quantum Queerness
— Aj333 (@LoTQD) November 21, 2022
Pretty sure that "queering" quantum mechanics is the last thing the field needs…
— Jonathan (@Jon44444444) November 21, 2022
Quantum physics is queer. Science. Whatever.
— Hand Solo (@andrewstarr1000) November 21, 2022
This doesn’t make any sense at all.

This is a good argument against student loan forgiveness.
— JustIncredible (@TJustin25) November 21, 2022
How can I be about BOTH particle physics AND about queer liberation, yet hate this so so so much?
— Joke Police ((serious)) (@SandyEggHoHoHo) November 21, 2022
That’s a strange take on reality.
— Pete (@PetesPeace) November 21, 2022
Seriously? It should come as no surprise that her list of publications is vanishingly short, and mostly about "intersectionality and gender in physics," so not actually about physics at all. This is beyond silly.

If you ever thought “Are PhDs still worthless?”
The answer is yes, yes they are.— Alexander 🇺🇸 (@ThreeGinLunch) November 21, 2022
The new norm is people like this, just making things up. Also, the new norm is people going along with this crap.
— VirginiaRoyal (@VirginiaRoyal8) November 21, 2022
Yep, getting people to go along with it is the real trick, but it’s working.
You smoking crack fam?
