Jesse Singal writes quite often about transgender issues, such as bogus studies and bad science. For that, disgraced former fact-checker Talia Lavin hoped to get him booted from Substack, even if it meant having to defame him. So did journalist and author Jonathan M. Katz. GLAAD added him to an “accountability list” of anti-LGBT figures.
On Thursday, Singal was disturbed by people openly celebrating the arrest of someone believed to have posted transphobic content online (the U.K. takes “hate speech” very seriously).

What, really, does trans genocide look like? And is there any other group that claims the victimhood that the trans community does? It claims to be powerless, but it’s a micro-minority that has changed the rules for how anyone can speak on social media or the public square. The Babylon Bee is still suspended for calling Rachel Levine a man. Super-reporter Taylor Lorenz is on a crusade to shut up anyone who criticizes puberty blockers or top surgery for minors. It’s ridiculous.
