President Joe Biden tells festival he's pledged $11 billion a year to help poor countries fight climate change

We just finished a post about Congress getting ready to send $12 billion more in aid to Ukraine. You may agree or disagree, but at least Ukraine’s war with Russia is a real thing. This weekend was the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, and President Joe Biden and first lady Dr. Jill Biden were there — in the form of a pre-recorded video — touting the $369 billion allocated to fight climate change as part of the “Inflation Reduction Act.” Being the global citizen he is, Biden reminded the crowd that he’d pledged $11 billion a year to help poor countries fight climate change.

How can we be mad when our beloved first lady was there supporting her husband? Nice of them to appear on video so they wouldn’t get booed off the stage.

It does, now that you mention it.

Which poor countries? Who’s going to ensure the money is put toward climate change? Are other countries making similar pledges? And how does this reduce inflation?
