Court filing shows that Nicholas 'Sophie' Roske was 'shooting for 3' Supreme Court justices

Back in June, police arrested a man — who was reportedly armed with a gun, a knife, and pepper spray — near Brett Kavanaugh’s home in Maryland in the middle of the night. According to reports, he planned to assassinate Kavanaugh in large part out of anger over the prospect of Roe v. Wade being overturned. CNN’s Whitney Wild went on to report that “we don’t yet know … what kind of weapon this man might have had, if he had one at all.” Protesters outside Kavanaugh’s home didn’t let the assassination attempt deter them from continuing their protests; besides, what sort of “assassin” turns himself in?

Andy Ngo reveals that court filings show Nicholas Roske chatting with someone on Discord and saying he was going to “remove some people from the Supreme Court.” When he was told that “two dead judges ain’t gonna do nothing,” he replied, “yeah but I could get at least one, which would change the votes for decades to come, and I am shooting for 3.”

Roske pleaded not guilty to one count of attempting to assassinate a Supreme Court justice, despite the massive amount of evidence showing premeditation.

As we reported, the Washington Post decided to file it under their “local crime” section.

Well, he didn’t actually kill Kavanaugh, he just flew cross-country and rolled into Kavanaugh’s neighborhood with a gun and a knife and burglary tools. So no biggie.
