Scholastic Press editor absolutely wants your young adult books about and with abortion

Last year we did a post on a Washington Post columnist who was fed up with the lack of abortions on TV. Kate Cohen wrote that she stormed into her daughter’s room after the sixth episode of the Netflix series “Atypical” and said, “Please tell me the therapist is not going to have that baby.” Her daughter then shrugged sympathetically and said, “Sorry, Mom.” Yeah, mom, sorry you didn’t get the abortion you wanted on TV.

This is apparently a deleted tweet, so we weren’t able to look it up and confirm it, but we’ve looked at Emily Seife’s timeline and have no reason at all to believe The Based Librarian would mock this up. Not only are there not enough TV shows normalizing abortion, but there aren’t enough young adult books normalizing abortion either. Seife is an editor at Scholastic Press, which publishes books for school-age children.

These tweets are still up if you need a glimpse into her mindset:

Sorry about that.

Don’t forget the post we did recently on the loving mother who was fiercely proud that her toddler “will grow up knowing” the value of abortion, thanks to a pro-abortion picture book called, “What’s an Abortion, Anyway?” Yes, there are picture books about abortion.

The teacher seeing themself as their students’ “parent” because their real parents aren’t woke has really come to the forefront.

And then they’ll invite drag queens to school to read story books about abortion … you know, to normalize it.
