TSA shows off display of oversized liquids it confiscated over a three-day period

Is this editor’s airport, they’ve set up a display of weapons that they’ve confiscated from air travelers, including things like swords and throwing stars. You’d have to be pretty dumb to try to get those past the TSA. The TSA, however, thinks travelers are pretty dumb and put up a display showing oversized liquids, gels, and aerosols that travelers had in their carry-on luggage. What were people thinking trying to smuggle through bottled water? These people should be shamed.

The TSA is actually showing this off as if it’s some sort of accomplishment instead of just reinforcing the image of what jerks they are.

How much of that could be used to make a bomb? Any of it? No?

Can we stop this nonsense yet? We all see it, we all submit to it, we all hate it, nobody is safer because shampoo and toothpaste is confiscated and grandma has to spend money on overpriced water before boarding!

I guess the 3.4oz requirement and the shoe removal requirement will continue on, indefinitely. That's kinda ridiculous, as this attempted (& unsuccessful) shoe bomb was how many years ago? And has anyone ever set one of those off? Ever?
