Jack Brewer not amused by Joy Reid accusing him of child abuse, threatens lawsuit

As Twitchy reported over the weekend, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis held a signing ceremony for the so-called Stop WOKE Act, and he was joined on stage by some young boys holding anti-critical race theory signs. MSNBC’s Joy Reid not only did the usual of accusing DeSantis of using children as props — she tweeted that “this mis-use of Black boys is tantamount to child abuse.”

As we reported, Reid’s followers took it even further, calling it hostage-taking and tagging the Miami Herald to alert them of “actionable kidnapping” by the governor. Press secretary Christina Pushaw said she worked the event, and no one was on stage who didn’t choose to be there.

Now Fox News is reporting that former NFL player Jack Brewster is threatening a defamation lawsuit over being accused of child abuse. The boys in the photo who were being “abused” were with him.

Fox News reports:

Former NFL football player and philanthropist Jack Brewer is demanding MSNBC host Joy Reid apologize for her tweet claiming a photo of young Black boys attending an event where Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an anti-critical race theory bill “is tantamount to child abuse.” Brewer explained the boys in the photo are students of his education and mentorship programs and were well aware of why they were attending the event.

“Joy Reid messed with the wrong boys,” Brewer told Fox News Digital on Monday, adding that he has also retained legal counsel about a potential defamation suit.

Reid won’t apologize, although she may claim that her Twitter account was hacked if things get serious.

Now who exactly is using the boys as “props” — their mentor, Brewer, or Reid, who used them to slam DeSantis for being anti-black?

It’s astounding to us that MSNBC keeps a liability like Reid on the payroll — it’s not like she has fantastic ratings or anything. They must just really like what she says.
