Jemele Hill and Keith Olbermann aren’t working for ESPN anymore; Hill has been picked up to host her own show on CNN+, and Olbermann is in his apartment ranting about putting everyone he disagrees with in prison. That doesn’t mean ESPN isn’t woke — anyone who watches knows that’s not the case. The question is: If you stage a moment of silence during the NCAA women’s basketball tournament, will anyone hear it?
ESPN’s broadcasters for the NCAA women’s basketball tournament took a moment of silence in protest against the Florida bill that made it illegal to teach sexual orientation and gender identity to pre-K through 3rd graders.

Please! Someone explain to us why it’s so important to have teachers lead discussions on gender identity in kindergarten. No one’s made the case so far as far as we’re concerned. Older grades? Maybe. Parents? A better option.
Did they do the same for the swimmers that lost their podium spot because of Will/Lia Thomas? #SaveWomensSports

Do the women have their own basketball tournament?

Congrats to the 17 people that watched this.

Well if nobody watched did it really happen?

Unbelievable.

Should have made the moment of silence last a couple of hours.

This is so blown out of proportion… It's ridiculous…

Understand what you’re protesting. Do the research

More people saw this on Twitter than they did live television. Meanwhile, dudes are taking over their sport while expressing faux outrage at a law they didn’t even read.

Wait until other states start passing similar legislation and no one can stop them.
