As Twitchy has reported Thursday, the Inspector General’s report on former FBI director James Comey is out, and it concludes that “Comey violated department and FBI policies pertaining to the retention, handling, and dissemination of FBI records and information” as well as withheld from the FBI when they came to his house to collect FBI property that he had retained copies of the memos in his personal safe at home.
IG says @Comey "failed to live up to his responsibility" and set a "dangerous example." pic.twitter.com/HvSFRo2MYB

Matthew Miller, a justice and security analyst for MSNBC, is standing up for Comey, saying he had no other options considering President Trump was trying to dismantle the DOJ’s normal way of operating. He had to go rogue.
Asinine. Comey did what he did because the president was actively trying to dismantle DOJ's normal way of operating. The AG and the DAG were both complicit, so Comey had no where else to take his concerns. It must be nice to live in the context-free world inhabited by the IG. https://t.co/UTiBWNjJYX

Asinine. If Comey truly believed that Trump was an existential threat to America, he should have bravely come out and said so to a national audience. That's not what he did. He violated procedure & law to secretly plant a story in the media, you know, like a coward. https://t.co/FsvrRUgnTh

And then hid in the curtains.
These guys don't seem to understand, the president is the only elected guy in the executive branch, he's their will and voice in the branch. The fact that unelected state employees thought to disregard the voice of the states and act as if they know better is terrifying.

Got that bit? The elected guy … no matter who the people inside the FBI were trying to get elected.
“@Comey was right to violate FBI policy and disclose sensitive investigative information to journalists because ORANGE MAN BAD” https://t.co/I6yyvFLPfU

“It’s okay for Comey to violate the rules for personal purposes, regardless of the damage to the institution he represents, because the other guy did it first.” https://t.co/85OzuHhAl6

More from the crowd of "rules are for the little people".
We must destroy the rule of law to save it. I got a solution for that too. It begins with V and ends in igilantism. Seriously this what these morons are driving to. https://t.co/4v5veDtgz6— SpiffTheSpaceMan (@SpiffDSpaceman) August 29, 2019
Rule only apply to you, not those who would be your masters. https://t.co/NZWOnQKWlR

Imagine being so desperate to make President Trump look like bad guy, you try to make Comey look like the good guy. That is what’s asinine and the IG report clearly reflects it. https://t.co/hSzkZV4a77

Almost funny coming from an @MSNBC propagandist… mostly sad because #WeThePeople can’t trust the media anymore. https://t.co/Y6UvA9WnGF
